You'd think it's time to go the slog.

Throw the bat at everything.

Note, of the batsmen only Gilly has cut loose so far, runs haven't come as easily for the other batsmen as pointed out by the commentators.

Agree. I think it was an exceptional innings by Gilly. Australian inning minus Gilly is hardly any impressive.

So let's see if any Lankan can match Gilly.

Geez, one decent innings and Watson is out there. Would prefer Hussey, hope I'm shown to be wrong

I was hoping 300+. SL doing some damage control in the end.

Didn't think I was going to be wrong with that call.

I don't rate Watson very highly. Reasonable batsman and ordinary bowler and that's being nice IMO.

281 is a phenomenal effort but to be honest I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get 300. That said, I think it will be comfortably enough.

One down, 9 to go.

What's happened to all those SL's and their predictions of spinning a web and the like?

I give Sangakarra 3 overs till his out tops.

Most people here in Sydney have already started celebrating the 3rd consecutive World Cup win :)

Fair enough I reckon.

I'm glad to think everyone will be toast Gilly as I reckon it will be the last time we'll see him.

Watson drops Sanga, robbing me of my prediction but McGrath will remove him

Goes back to how only Gilly of the Aussies looked really comfortable.

I suspect Jayasurya is about to cut loose.

Some interest back in the match. If they can stretch it to 150 in next 7-8 ours, they have a match.
