New Delhi: After Salil Ankola and Ajay Jadeja it is time for Sachin Tendulkar to make his debut on the 70mm. However, like in cricket, the Little Master will tread on a path less travelled when it comes to films as well.
Unlike other cricketers, who have acted in commercial potboilers, Tendulkar will feature in film called Vighnaharta Shri Siddhivinayak, which will be based on Mumbai's famous Siddhivinayak temple. It will be directed by Yashwanth Ingavale who has assisted Madhur Bhandarkar.
The film focusses on the devotees who visit the Siddhivinayak temple and their experiences. Tendulkar will not charge a single penny for the film.
The film is due to begin shooting next month, and will also feature a voice-over by Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan.
